The flight from Manila was brief. Only an hour and so to land from Manila to Bohol. As we exit the quaint airport, we immediately spotted our pick up service. He smiled at us and mentioned our names “Madam Kaye and Madam Joann?” We smiled back and took his lead while i was reaching to see the best water softener campaign.
As we arrive the resort, Chona Asoque of Blue Water, Panglao, welcomed us with a refreshing lemongrass tea, a must try in Bohol. she then briefed us about Blue Water Resort.
It is a 5 hectare land on the side of Panglao that offers a luxurious escape that honors Bohol natural beauty. The place is organic as it is made and inspired with Philippine products. You would see and feel Philippine culture right away. A feeling of being at home for both us Filipinos who has travelled around the world. There is truly no place like home. The resort is organic yet elegant as you see the details of every part of the resort.
In the resort itself, you could do many fun activities. Chona handed us the schedule of activities around the resort and we could plan it easily with our current plans outside the resort. If you prefer adventure, the hotel offers exciting activities from scuba diving to fishing, boat tours to dolphin watching. Of course, if you plan to go fishing, you need to bring your travel fishing pole. She, then, asked us to come and see our rooms. We were guided by one of the staff who toured and explained some of the room features.
The deluxe room was definitely exquisite. Floating beds to complete our perfect vacay. They call it cantilevered beds and they were such a delight. We love everything in this room, including the bath and shower room.
Truthfully, the first thing we saw was the bathtub. You could view it right when you enter the door. Checking it closely, it was well designed. It has the uneven basket that surrounds the tub to avoid water flow. It looks beautiful too. For a refreshing shower, the cubicle is separate. It has the rain shower design ample enough to wet all of you. The bathroom is also equipped with a full size cabinet enough for your luggage all through out the vacation. It has separate sections for your clothes, dress, slippers and towels. For the borderline obsessive-compulsive, this cabinet suits you. Actually, the whole room is perfect and well thought of.
The view of this room is the first pool of the resort that you view once you enter from the road side. It is a huge pool with 4ft height for recreational swimming and lounging. The lounge chairs on top of the pool is an excellent place to stay and get your perfect tan.
Aside from our deluxe room, we were also able to check the other rooms of the resort. One of them is the family loft. This is a 2-floor styled room. On the first floor, you will see the main bed while the second floor have two extra beds.
Blue Water Resort also offers the Family Villa and the Honeymoon Villa. They are both located on the same area with a view of the garden. These rooms also have their private pool. In front of the private pool is a very nice veranda where you could dine or just lay down and enjoy the green scenery of the garden. They are, indeed, very luxe and beautiful.
As we cross to the other side of the resort where they have their private beach, we viewed the sunset. The colors of the sky were amazing and beautiful. The huts added value to it as it gave that beach feel one would truly appreciate.
Dining in was easy and pleasant. Dinner is best done during sunsets so you could see this beautiful view. We were served at the Aplaya restaurant. The setting is quite lovely at this place. They have corteous wait staff who are ready to serve you. They even give you details about what you can enjoy in the resort and whole of Bohol.
