The Tech conference that was held towards the end of July 2015 is the largest tech conference in Asia. The conference organizer, Web Summit, is well experienced in the industry. They organise “the best technology conferences on the planet”. They take a different approach. And that difference works for attendees, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to the most exciting startups in the world. The speakers are world class, but the networking is “simply legendary”.
Although it is Web Summit’s first event in Asia, it definitely was a success. This then proceeds to RISE 2016 that will be held on May 31-June01, 2016. This opportunity gives leaders of the enterprise a place to congregate and demonstrate how their companies are changing the way we live in.
In RISE 2015, There were 3 active stages per day. The Centre Stage which held general talks on tech. They talk about how to buy Bitcoin in this market. Amazon, global games, and up and coming in the tech world. Another stage is the Enterprise Stage. The Enterprise Stage is for new entrepreneurs. This stage talks about capital ventures, start up methods and tips. Lastly is the Builder’s Stage. This stage is in charge on building, tech information and apps.
On the 2nd day, new stages were formed such as Centre Stage, Machine Stage and Marketing Stage. Centre stage talks about anything and everything in the tech industry. This includes, China in business, mobile commerce. Marketing stage includes how to market your company together with marketing strategies. While the machine stage talks about wearables, drones and other tech machineries. If you plan on purchasing a drone make sure you read this holy stone x400c review
The 3 stages format were definitely a great idea. The attendees can pick from the conference schedule their best interest and attend that. The good thing about the conference is that they are right on schedule so that one can move from one stage to another stage. The failing part from the organiser is not having enough occupancy for attendees to see certain programs. There were definitely some big complaints on not being able to view their favourite speakers. The queue was too long and there was not enough space for everyone. Perhaps, organisers need a bigger stage next year.
There is also an available mobile app for the RISE conference and its attendees. This just shows how the organiser takes tech seriously. The app is downloadable thru IOS and Androids. It summarises the schedule of the event and you can make your schedule out of the app. This makes it easier for the attendees. You can also view all the attendees and speakers of the event. With this, you can schedule to meet and greet fellow attendees as well.
Start ups are welcome to come in to showcase their latest tech business. RISE is a great way to meet fellow start ups and see where they are. There are also plenty of venture capitalist to engage with. It is also a gateway to see how the audience will react to your chosen industry.
Let’s not forget that the organiser does not stop the conference in the Convention Centre. There are parties held every night for attendees and speakers to unwind or continuously talk about business in a lighter fare.
Another event of theirs is the Web Summit which they hold in Dublin with the great advantage on your tech networking. They hold the best speakers to learn from and attendees from all over Europe and America. It has grown from 400 to over 20,000 attendees from around the world in just 4 years. It’s held in Dublin every November. RISE is their sister event in Asia.
Watch out for RISE 2016 that will be held on May31- June 2 in HK!
