College sweethearts Chef Roland and Jac Laudico turned fast food into ‘fast good’ with their flourishing restaurant, Chef Lau’s Pugon Roasters. Chef Roland’s specialty is preparing savoury food and has started demonstrating his talent at the age of 7 while Chef Jac’s specialty are desserts. She was able to bake at 5 years old and was selling sweets when she was in Grade 5. The perfect combo met in college and are now partner in life and business.
Chef Lau’s Pugon Roasters offers quality food on a fast food price. The restaurant does not put MSG on their food giving a healthier option rather than the normal fast food. They also do not use non-dairy cream which turns into trans fat that your body retains.
A must try in this resto is their brick oven cooked chicken roasters (P99 only) and it comes with rice. Their angus Roast Beef (P179) with rice is also delectable.
While if you want your snacks tasty, try Pansit Lucban (P79). This is Chef Lau’s version of pansit habhab from the province of Lucban, Quezon. Their cheesy ensaymada and baked kaldereta (P89) is also satisfying and delish. The former is inspired from eggs benedict and also good for brekky while the latter is inspired from everyone’s comfort food, baked macaroni.
Don’t leave without desserts. Chef Lau’s fave is the tablea tart. It is made with the Philippines’ local chocolate, tablea. Last but not the least is the Queso de bola cheese cake. The layered cake will satisfy the cheese addicts.
Chef Lau’s Pugon Roasters is available in Venice Mall, Mckinley Hill and Ayala Triangle. They also offer deliveries.
