From a small store selling men’s T-shirts in 1987 in the Philippines, Bench has expanded worldwide selling assorted fashion wear and other items. This year, 2018, Bench, once again, entered a new venture.
Introducing the Bench Cafe…. The first location is found in the 3rd floor of their Bonifacio high street mall branch. This is around the corner of 9th avenue and Lane O. Bench has always been proud to be Filipino made and have been running ads about supporting Philippine products. It is not surprising Bench would open up a Filipino restaurant.
Here is my short you tube video of how the Bench cafe looks like:
Bench Cafe’s executive chef is Chef Carlo Miguel who is known for his techniques. In this restaurant, chef Carlo offers Benchto (Bench version of bento). There are 10 sets you can choose from. Here is a glimpse of the Bencto menu and some of the set trays :
Aside from Bench, you can also order in ala carte style, a personal favourite is sisig and the tinapa cones (no pic but is in the video above). They also serve salad if you want to eat fresh greens.
For drinks, I got sago’t gulaman and for dessert I got Flan B with pandan latik coffee.
